The jacketed glass reactor is also commonly known as the double-layer glass reactor. The interlayer in the middle is used to prevent the reaction medium from stirring the reaction, and the interlayer can be used for constant temperature heating or cooling reactions through cold and heat sources.
Jacketed glass reaction vessels have many advantages over single-layer glass reaction vessels. From the perspective of appearance - the double-layer jacketed glass reactor allows for direct observation of the entire experimental process, while the single-layer glass reactor is not so convenient. In terms of temperature, the jacketed glass reactor has a relatively uniform temperature because it uses a layer for heating or cooling. Compared with the single-layer glass reactor, the jacketed glass reactor has a smaller temperature difference and is more suitable for conducting delicate reactions. Jacketed glass reaction vessels and single-layer glass reaction vessels have the same performance in use and are mainly used for the separation of reactants, distillation and extraction, etc. Because customers need to consider their own actual situation when purchasing, although the jacketed glass reactor is more practical, its price is slightly higher than that of the single-layer glass reactor.
