Pressure vessels and their safety accessories
Pressure vessels are closed equipment that not only bear certain pressure but also usually hold gases or liquids inside. Both metal and non-metal materials are quite common. There is a considerable pressure difference between its interior and exterior, thus posing a potential danger. During the manufacturing and usage processes, due to improper design, operation and usage behavior, safety accidents are prone to occur. Therefore, there are strict requirements in terms of standard control. Pressure vessels have their own usage characteristics. Coupled with the unique chemical processes of the internal medium, it is necessary to install corresponding safety accessories to ensure the safe use of pressure vessels and the normal operation of the process. To ensure the safe operation of pressure vessels, some safety devices are often installed on the equipment, such as safety valves, pressure gauges, temperature measuring instruments, liquid level gauges, emergency shut-off devices, rupture disc devices, etc. According to their performance and application, commonly used safety accessories can be classified into four types, namely pressure relief devices, metering devices, alarm devices and interlock devices. Among them, the most crucial safety accessories include safety pressure relief devices, pressure gauges, etc.

Safety valve
In pressurized equipment, a safety valve is an overpressure protection device. When the pressure of the equipment exceeds the preset value, the safety valve will automatically open to reduce the pressure of the equipment through pressure relief. When the pressure is lower than the specified value, the safety valve will automatically close to prevent the loss of the medium inside the equipment. Safety valves are widely used in pressure vessels, pressure pipelines and boilers, and they belong to the category of automatic valves. Under normal circumstances, the main body of the container is the suitable installation position for safety valves. When installing liquefied gas in the gas phase section, the safety issue of discharge cannot be ignored.
